Comments on: "The 2019 Declutter List- January edition" (2)

  1. Loved your added comments on many of the items you were throwing away (e.g., “no idea why I was keeping it or where it came from”).
The things we hold on to!

Spurred on by your initiative, I’m going to try to get together a box of items, each month, to donate.

I have the first item – a little stuffed kitty which “purrs and breathes” when you switch it on. My sister gave it to my daughter when she visited her overseas last year. (My sister was tidying up her house, and thought that giving the faux kitty to my daughter would be a great way to get rid of it – even though we have a real, live cat at home!)

So, this sweet, but useless item came all the way across the Atlantic to add to our cliutter here. Off into the donations box it goes!

  2. It is amazing the things we hold onto. I need to think seriously about some of the stuff that other people gave me. I feel guilty getting rid of it but I’m not using it or getting any pleasure out of it so why hold onto it?
