Been talking with the girl and we have decided to scrap the quilt I had started for her many years ago. We are looking at patterns for the blocks and hope to look for fabric soon. I promised her I would do hers before I did one for the boy. I’d really like to get it started before the end of the year. We’ll see what happens.

Didn’t read as much as I would have liked over the summer. Well, I did read a ton of books with my son but I’m not including picture books in my tally. Still need to figure out a way to list what I’ve read and would like to have some sort of graph to show how close I am to my goal.
I have finally made a decision. I’m registered to take a 4 class sampler at the Pittsburgh Glass Center. I will get to try each of the various methods (hot, cold, flame and warm). Each class lasts 2 hours and will give me a chance to see which method I might like to do more of. Plus, each class will produce an object of some sort – a blown glass ornament for my Christmas tree, a flamecicle to hang, a fused glass ornament and a small stained glass panel or sun catcher. I am looking forward to these opportunities – and to checking off one of my 6 by 60 goals. The first class is November 23rd. Come back then for an update and perhaps a picture if I can figure out how to do that or get someone to do it for me.
Haven’t made the time to post anything for quite awhile but things have been moving forward. I’ve taken some steps closer to three of my goals and have been thinking about the other two. I am going to try to post a least once a week now that the kiddos are back in school. We’ll see how it goes.
